FS: FJ Shocks (F+R)

Hey All,

I'm looking to get rid of a full set of FJ Cruiser shocks, front and rear. These are the Tokico ones and were taken off of an '07 FJ. The guy that I got my FJ springs from gave me these, said they have low miles and he replaced them with OME's not too long after getting the FJ.

I'm looking for $40 plus shipping, but open to offers too SOLD . I'd prefer to stay local to avoid complications, but will ship if someone really wants em. Located in Westminster, MA and willing to drive to meet up if necessary.

Any body know how strong these are? They don't look like they would be firm enough with a full passenger load from the pictures. I have some (pending install) with the FJ springs. I am thinking of maybe the KYBs instead of these. I know those are pretty robust.

Personally, I'm going for the Bilstein 5100's to be able to lift the front up a little higher, maybe to accommodate for a rear spacer too, I haven't decided yet though.

The guy in this thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/suspension/69755-full-fj-cruiser-suspension-installed.html did a swap with the FJ Tokico's and seemed to like it a lot though. He says: "Even with the Tokicos from the FJ, the dampening is vastly improved. It is primarily a highway/city driven vehicle so the Bilsteins wouldn't have been put to test. " For a person wanting just a slight improvement over stock, these shocks would be perfect. Springs are what provides resistance anyhow, shocks just dampen the suspension; a full load of passengers wouldn't really have an effect on the operation of the shocks.

Those are exactly what I just put in my 07 T4R and between them and FJ springs the ride is firmer, but no more harsh. Less dip when braking hard (which I rarely do) and better over the bumps in bad pavement you hit.
