I purchased this exhaust new a few months back from the forum group purchase/sale/whatever its official title. It took over a month to arrive due to the lead time on ceramic coating the tips.
The system is high quality and extremely simple to install. I had it on my truck for roughly 300 miles. I decided to go back to the stock system mostly due to the sound. Its certainly not loud.....unnoticeable at idle or highway cruise, and very mellow around town, but it definitely sounds like a V6 with an exhaust, which is just not what I wanted in my daily driver. I have a '64 Corvette and '72 Suburban with loud exhausts....its nice to have something to drive every once in a while that is completely silent.
The system is boxed up, 100% complete, in the original packaging with the original Gibson instructions and paperwork. The mid pipe and muffler are used. The over axel pipe, and black ceramic coated tips are 100% new and unused. When I pulled the system off after 300 miles, the ceramic coating on the inside of the tips was peeling. I contacted Gibson, sent multiple pictures back and forth, and you could see where the coating on the inside of the tips had not been applied as evenly/thick as it should have been. They replaced the entire tail section, which is what will ship with this exhaust with zero cosmetic blemishes.
Price is $450 shipped to your door or $400 if you want to come pick it up in Norfolk, VA. That will save you $50-$100 and at least a month's wait for a new system from Gibson.
