gkatmar & Kmvreter - Ride quality and the lift given was excellent (an even lift front to back and tall enough for me and my CV joints). The 885 coils are perfect for a stock V8. I had/have the medium coils in the rear.
I just installed a Shrockworks bumper and a winch - about an extra 200 lbs on the front end. The 886 coils gave me back the the 1" or so droop from the extra weight that was on the 885 coils...also the 886 coils have a much higher spring rate to control that extra weight.

I was originally planning on leaving my 885 coils in with just the Shrockworks bumper ~100 lbs (to save some money). I installed it and ran for a month with the 885 coils and it was fine. I then decided on a winch and installed it, my front really took a nose dive and I could notice the change.
Starting fresh with a V8 and a heavy grill guard or bumper, I would get the 886 coils.
If I had a V6 and wanted to add a bumper/winch or a V8 that I never planned on adding anything too heavy to, then I would choose the 885 coils.
My opinions and my tastes...for whatever that's worth.
