FS: Partout (001) 1999 4WD SR5 Silver 4Runner: Central TX - Will Ship Smaller...

I was looking for the latch mechanism, not the window regulator. The latch is connected to the hatch by three 10mm bolts. It's at the bottom of the hatch. It's the piece that connects to the striker on the body.

I think I already sold both of those little covers, but I'll check.

Overall the partout has been a success. For me personally it was a big challenge because this was the first time I ever towed anything and I don't have much experience pulling parts. I've learned that it is a lot harder pulling some parts than you might think. For example, when I pulled the steering wheel I had to go to Auto Zone and rent a steering wheel puller. I did not know I needed that until I did some research on removing the steering wheel. Often there is an extra step involved that you didn't anticipate. Everything seems to be more difficult than you might think. I also started with very few tools, so I had to buy more tools as funds allowed.

Rear hatch lift struts

Do the lift struts pull the cargo hatch up all the way and stay there or is there some sag?

The struts that support the rear hatch are in good condition with no sag that I can see. I can sell them for $65 shipped. If this sounds good text me at 979-574-2070. I probably won't be able to ship them until Wednesday, December 30th... I am out of state for the holidays.

Gauge cluster is still available

So earlier this afternoon I sold the engine as well as the rest of the 4Runner. The buyer basically wanted the engine, but didn't want to pull it. He also wanted the gauge cluster, so we made a deal for him to haul away the stripped down 4Runner as it currently sits.

I still have some parts left because this sale did not include parts that I had already pulled. I'll make a complete list later, but off the top of my head this is what remains:

- Driver side fender
- Front passenger side half shaft
- About 10 interior trim pieces
SOLD - Owners manual and other literature
- MAF
- Complete factory jack
- Sunglass holder/Sunroof controls/Map light unit
- Courtesy light
