I have a differential from an 07 FJ Cruiser. It is an 8" pinion that's also found in the 03-09 4Runner. Replaced due to pinion bearing noise. It will need rebuilt. Price does not include shipping. Diff lock!!!!!!

Let me think about it and i'll get back with you. When you say intermittently, you mean sometimes it engages and sometimes it doesn't?

Actuator

Yes, it will lock in just fine. It gets hot when it tries to pull back out. It has to sit for a while then will pull out. If I was gonna invest in this rear diff. Id get it rebuilt. Then I'd get a Chilkat Design cable for it.
Hell, I may get one for my FJ. The actuator sticks if I don't use it for a while.
A good rule of thumb is to put your junk in 4hi, 4lo & lock the diff. once a month. Things seize up when they go unused.

Still available. I don't have the body harness. The actuator & limit switch harness & connectors are in good shape.

I have acquired another one Rear Differential. I have checked, the Diff Lock Actuator works. So to clarify, I have one Rear Diff with a known good Locking Actuator $200 and one Rear Diff without a working Actautor $150. Both need rebuilt due to Pinion Bearing Failure.

Very interesting this wasn't totally in my plans or budget right now, but this could be a good opportunity. To be clear, the actuator is fully functioning and I'd just need to wire it, correct?
