FS: REAR E-LOCKER Differential Locking Differential

From the same tacoma truck that is parting out. Tacoma was made in 04/2000.
Truck has 140 K miles

$450 (OBO) + shipping.
If you need the wiring, that cost extra $100 and can include in the same shipment

E-Locker Final Drive ratio

OK,

For those who are interested;

I set the flange to 12 O clock (first picture) and turned the wheel ONE full round. The flange marker turned TWO full rounds + little more (in the second picture)

What is the ratio in this 3rd member?

If you're selling the 3rd why not just take it off the axle housing like you're going to have to do anyways and count teeth?

Are you selling this with any kind of statement of condition? Care to test it for potential buyers? this would sell a lot quicker with some basic info. Just to clarify, you aren't offering ANY wiring with the $450 asking price? Not even the couple feet just out of the locker?

I'm interested, but I don't want to take a $450-$550 chance at something that may or may not function as hoped.

Truck was in an accident, until then it ran good. Everything on the truck worked fine before the accident. Engine and trans is out of the truck so I cannot check it now. If you know any method, I am glad to check it out.

As you know the wire harness alone is worth about $50 or more. I am giving the control box (by the driver side kick panel) for locker, wire harness and the switch in the dash all for $100. If you are serious about the locker and wires, we can work out a deal.

Thank you very much! There are a couple good writeups on here for bench testing an e-locker. Any plans to pull the third and post any additional photos?

I'm interested, I'd have to have it shipped to 88310.

Shipping is not a problem. UPS or FedEx probably the best for heavy items.

I am going to the yard on Saturday to check the functionality of the locker.
I found helpful information in the following. Seems very straight forward wiring. The motor works like a window motor, switches the polarity. IF you use a press button switch to lock and unlock, you don't even have to use the 3-ground wires to cut off the power to the motor.

Outdoor Recreation Network - Off-Highway, Jeep, & 4x4 Fun

Now I feel I am getting interested in this too!

just in case it helps, I know NissanH and will be meeting up with him in a few weeks for some CVs; then the following week I will be driving to Albuquerque and Santa Fe for some light offroading, hiking and camping, so I could help with transport for you to save a bit on shipping...

This is a definite possibility, you need to let us NM guys know when you are planning to wheel here, get a group together!

we'll be in the Jemez Mountains over Memorial Day weekend, but we don't plan to do any wheeling, per se, just light offroading on fire roads and trails to get us off the beaten path, hopefully away from holiday crowds to secluded hiking and camping areas (and maybe we'll find Forrest Fenn's treasure too!)
