Fuel door cover problem

I just picked up a used '05 SR5 4WD and when I went to fill up at the local gas station, I noticed a problem with the fuel door. It only opens about an inch and to fully open it I have to force it back. As you can see in the pics, the pivot rod is bent and the back (left side) of the fuel door is rubbing against the inside part. Can anyone send me a pic of how it's supposed to look like? It's a possibility that the door may have been damaged in the past.

Thanks. Hmmm...I know that the back left corner had a minor collision at one time but I don't see how that would have affected the fuel door area.

You know, I just was thinking about that while looking at the pics. I guess the fix to that would be bending the bent pin part back into shape. Taking it to a body shop would be too costly for something that silly.

you could always unscrew the whole door off. I haven't looked at it close enough if it can be done but take it off and play with it while its off. Or look if you can get another one off of ebay. I keep looking at it and i can't figure it out.

There must be a way of taking it off by removing the pin, bent or not. Someone must know the trick to that... those little doors are so easily damaged that they have to be easy enough to take off.
