Fuel Filter Help!

My trucks check engine light has been on for a few weeks now due to a lean condition. Just bought a new few filter and tried to install it last night. Somehow after spraying the crap outta the fittings with PB Blaster AND using a line wrench i still managed to round over the nut for the fitting. What do I do now? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

mine was a beeootch to get off too. I tried when I was doing a HG repair years ago, but couldn't get bolts to budge. Afraid of being where you are now, I skipped it. Later when I pulled the motor for a full rebuild, I could put some oomph into it without so much worry.

I'd try to soak them for a few days with PB blaster or the like. Soak, then tappy tap tap with a little punch, so it can penetrate the treads. Then you may have to squeeze some vice grips on there, if you can fit them in.

Otherwise, pick up a set of these: Sears.com
