Fuel Filter Location?

Hi All,

I'm hoping that this is an easy question: where is the fuel filter located on a 2013 Limited? I searched the forum, and was surprised that I didn't find anything for the 5th gen. However, I did see a "filter canister" in the fuel system section of the parts manual, and using my incredible powers of deduction, it looks like the filter is located in the fill line. Is that correct?

Bottom line is that I was going to inspect/change it, but if it's located in the fill line, it's probably a bigger job than I was expecting. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on matter.

Agreed! Nobody's had an issue with it, so why screw with it???

However, if you feel the need to replace it that badly, the TSRM has only one instance of "fuel filter" listed, and this part is at the bottom end of the fuel pump in the tank.

Might wanna grab the TSRM if you're gonna be replacing it, and any other parts!

I'm 95% sure it is in the tank as part of the fuel pump assembly. It should not need service or replacement under normal circumstances.

Fuel pump is internal to the fuel tank and has a "Sock" style filter on the inlet, it should not need to be serviced.

My point was that, if nobody ever has a PROBLEM with something, chances are that's the reason he cannot find any information.
