Fuel filter location

If I were to be a 2004 2WD 4.0L, where would my fuel filter be?

In the fuel tank. It's a very fine mesh screen at the fuel pick-up. Most don't ever change it.

According to the manual, there are actually two fuel filter elements, both of which are inside the fuel tank. There is a Fuel Pump Filter which screens the input side of the fuel pump, and then a separate Fuel Filter on the output side of the fuel pump. In either case, you would have to remove the Fuel pump Assy., from the tank to get at them.

Fuel Filter

I have a 05 V6 and it looks like a fuel filter me that is on the left side right by the engine cover. I called Advance and they told me there is no serviceable filter for this vehicle.
