I recently replaced the passenger side injectors on my 4runner, only to find myself with a vacuum leak and a P0171.
I used these injectors:

I bought 3 - the first two I got looked like OEM remans - the last one was like the picture. It's in a Denso casing, and there's an added gasket at the top and the one at the bottom is hair narrower. But in the video I was using for reference, the guy got the same injectors and didn't note any issues:

So I replaced them, bolted everything in and it ran great. Really peppy, no more misfire, but the P0171 came on. Opened the hood and heard a definitive hiss, of course when I stuck my finger on the edge of the different injector, it changed the tone. I haven't sprayed anything on it yet, but I have a pretty big hunch that it'll change the RPMs when I do.
I assumed that if there was a leak out of the fuel injector, it would also spray gas, or at least run poorly, but to my surprise the injector (and car) is running great. I can floor it without a miss, but when it warms up, the idle readings go through the roof, and the A/F is over 20%. *sigh*
**EDIT**: I'M A HUGE IDIOT. So this was bothering me - how I could get an injector that doesn't fit properly? Then I realized I'm probably an idiot. So I went back outside, and started twisting the injector around, and *pop*, it went snug in. Restarted the 4Runner, cleared the code, and checked the readings. A/F trim was sticking around 0 on idle, and MAF readings were back to normal range. Long story short folks, make sure you're not stupid.
