fuel problem

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and I'm having trouble with my 2002 4 runner. Last night while driving it just cut off, the motor will crank up and start but only for a second or two, then it dies. I'm thinking the fuel pump went out but wanted to get some other opinions before I start dropping the tank. Thanks

Check your maf sensor. Make sure it didn't unplug or that it has a broken wire. It's on the air tube right after the air filter box.

Was/is the check engine light on?
