Hello everyone!
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, though I'm confident y'all can help me with it.
Driving in my 1993 4Runner V6 the other day and I started noticing some sputtering. The gas tank was full. The sputtering started getting worse, like it wasn't getting the proper amount of gas, then I started to turn around to get it back home and it just quit. Like it wasn't getting any fuel.
It's got plenty of power. It tries to start. Just no fire. I turned the ignition to the accessory position to see if I could hear the fuel pump priming, but didn't hear anything. Not sure if I should hear it though. I've never listened to one before.
I'm thinking my fuel pump went out. Though I'm completely new at this, so I'm wondering if you have any other ideas or suggestions?
If you think it is the fuel pump, what's it look like to change that? Everything I'm seeing is there should be an access panel to it from the back seats, no? Taking out the seats and carpet seems like a pain and I want to make sure that's the best way before I start tearing things apart.
Thanks in advance for the help!
