Fuel Pump went out

My fuel pump finally went out after 184,987 miles. Thankfully it went out right in front of my door. PTL! I got it replaced today along with the fuel filter. I was wondering what the average lifetime you can expect for the fuel pump for the 3rd Gen T4R?

Mine is original and still working fine at 262,000miles. I always change my fuel filter at 30k miles to avoid too much pressure on the pump with a clogged filter

Whoa! 262K on a fuel pump! I'll try to keep up on the maintenance on my fuel filter. What other maintanance have you done to your T4R?

I just do the routine maintenance from the Haynes manual:

Major tune up every 30k miles, brake fluid flush every year, etc.

The most important thing is to replace ALL fluids and filters when necessary...most people just think of the engine oil and neglect the others.

No symptoms. Just pulled up to the house, and it wouldn't kick on. I knew that the fuel pump could be the culprit. After diagnosing, it was the fuel pump. My parents 2003 Trailblazer fuel pump went out two days later. We got the Trailblazer fixed first. We tackled the T4R next. I was expecting replacing the whole fuel pump assembly, but when I got the part I had to just replace the "small" fuel pump itself along with the fuel filter.

I need to get a manual for the T4R. Did you changed the timing belt yourself or did you let the dealership do it? This is my next "to do" list.
