yeah, look for an early running board cover (will have TOYOTA embossed in the center of it)

good luck. i have running boards sitting in my backyard since i bought the damn truck and have tried to get rid of them with no luck. something tells me landfills have ample running boards throughout the nation.
I think he meant if anyone needed a running board to use as the rear bumper cover he still has some. I wish I was closer to KY. Most everyone in AR has thrown their's in the dumpster by now lol

I have started prepping a tank (F1G1FA) for the swap. So far I have welded on the filler tube bung so I can install the factory fill tube. Couple of questions:
I want to keep the Ford pump however there is no baffle in the tank surrounding it. I have seen that some welded in the Toyota pump bucket but they were using the Toyota pump...are there any other solutions to this? Having the fuel bucket around the pump makes sense to prevent starvation on hills.
Also on my 96 there are 4 lines to the tank.

The mystery line, emissions? and what can I do with it? The Ford tank has provisions for three lines.

Has anyone completed the f150 tank swap using the ford pump and sender, that has a write up or a little detail for me to see and start planning in my head?
Also the valve in the filler tube, anyone have any details on using it without needing to modify the ford tank?

I think there's a few quasi builds you can use. Assburns and this one : Ford F150 Gas Tank Swap into 2000 4Runner

filler tube valve - if it's like my '96, it can actually be bolted to the ford tank (once you drill all the holes) - or you can weld it (which is what I'm doing.)
As far as the Ford Pump & Sender, I believe the tank gauge & low fuel light are the primary issues, but folks have recontoured the float arm to resolve the gauge reading in the past. I have thoughts, but they're down the line...

I just read Assburns post again. So I think I may follow what he did with the fill tube but add a one way valve to the hose that the same site offers. Need to do some more reading on it first though.
As for the sending unit, I may use the classic industries module with the stock gauge or I’ll just use an autometer placed somewhere.
I need to do some more reading, but for now I’m looking for the easiest and safest route.
Now something else, how is the swingout spindle coming along?
