Full Cargo Area Mat

So after searching and searching for something that would not only protect my car from my equipment being hauled but also keep things from sliding around, I came up with my own design! A rubber truck bed mat cut to fit the whole cargo area!

I made a carboard template first then traced it out on a used full size pickup mat. Only went thru 2 utility blades cutting it to size. I then cut it in two pieces so I could use it when the seats were up in the back.

All for $20 and a little sweat.

I was thinking about doing the same thing the other day while I was searching for some rubber mats and looking at the prices ...but ...do they sale this rubber material at lowe's or some of these other stores ?....

that does the trick, good job. do you plan on attaching it to the back of the seats or just move that section back when theyre up?

I looked into getting trailer liners like for horse trailers cause you can get them in 1/4" thickness. I didn't want a pep boys liner as they are too thin. That's why I looked for a used truck bed mat. I lucked out. Thus one I found is 5/16 thick. I think I'll look into attaching the front section to the back of the seats.

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm a pretty anal person. I actually made a full cardboard template of the back end beforehand just waiting to find the right mat. If anyone wants dimensions I'd be happy to share.

im a little lost so its a truck bed liner? where did you find it at..i didnt realize they were so cheap

It's a USED rubber truck bed mat for a full size regular bed pickup truck cut down. I just put a WTB ad on craigslist. . I pre made a cardboard template so that when I found what I wanted I was ready to trace out and cut.
