Hey all,

I was poking around for deals on performance parts for the 5VZ-FE as always, and I cam across a super deal for a complete Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust system from Summit (note it's for a 3.4L TUNDRA thanks for someone pointing that out, it probably will need modification to fit):

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-19330/overview/

They offer a $50 rebate from DynoMax DynoMax® Performance Exhaust Promotions making the final price $153.99 with free shipping. That's a pretty screamin' deal for true 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, where the stock toyota piping is 2.4" with crush bends that make it more like a 2.25" exhaust.

I'm tempted to get one myself... but I love my Borla muffler lol.

Just so folks don't automatically assume bigger is better.

exhaustbackpressure

It's only a cat-back system so the stock cat and exhaust manifolds are still there, which provides more than enough back pressure for the engine to scavenge. Our exhaust is too restrictive as it is from the factory to reduce noise, as aftermarket headers provide noticeable power gains.

The link provided is for a Tundra. 4Runner doesn't have a listing it seems?

You think there's any benefit on an SC'd 4Runner? I'm running one with a stock pulley and airbox. Not looking for max power, but max efficiency.

I don't know, there's not many people who bothered to dyno a cat-back system. I do know for a fact this was the case for the 3VZ-E engine, it increased power and bumped up my MPG's by almost 2 from just a cat-back. It had very small piping though so it was obvious.

This is what Magnaflow claims on a supercharged engine:

and on a N/A engine:

So there is power to be gained. I don't know about the dynojet though.
