Full Length Tracks?

Has anyone out there ever extended the tracks on their roof? The tracks are so short that when I transport my Outrigger Canoe, it shakes a tiny bit because my saddles are so close together because of the short track length. It would be ideal if my front saddle started from about the front of the moon roof like the newer 4Runners.

I have not, but you could tie down the front and back to the tow hitch and tow hook.

You may want to consider adding a completely seperate third cross member at the front. Three crossbars would suit that canoe size.
Check out Rhino Racks or Thule. They will have crossbars that clamp in around the door seal area, and they can be easily removed when you are not transporting your canoe. A mate of mine bought a crossbar from Thule for his 2nd gen to mount spotlights and cb antennas on. He fitted it in about the middle of the front doors.
Also, I think you need a longer canoe!!
