Full Size Blind Spot Mirrors

I would love to see a Group Deal for blind spot mirrors found on the hood of the Helix Surfs. Too bad Toyota didn't bring them over to the US.

I believe their actually manufactured w/ a mirrored finish in Korea.

Is anyone else interested in this potenital Mod?

Their listing for the 03/05 4Runner might be wrong. They list 4cyl/6cyl and I have an 8cyl.

There is a way to use your existing mirrors to avoid the blind spot problem. Some argue that this is the way mirrors were always menant to be used, and I've seen at least a little evidence to that effect.

and this is the way I've always done - positioning for blind spots. The one time I almost pulled into the right hand lane with a Miata in it, years ago, cured me of doing otherwise.

It's a little scary to me that others don't use this method, but then again, since I have one of them gull-darned SUV things, it's much harder to miss me!

Well I received the mirrors and put them on last night on both my wife's Accord and the Sport and all I can say is WOW! They are clean-perfect fit, high quality and the visibility is incredible with lack of optical distortion (walleye). Install takes all of 30 seconds and they can be used with heated mirrors, whereas they themselves transfer the heat from the originals if you want to take the time to put a bead of caulk around the mirror (I didn't). They adhere with pre-mounted 2 way adheasive tape. All you do is line them up over your existing mirrors and press. I should've taken before-after field of view pics, but I got excited when I opened the box and forgot the camera. I'll take the after-pics tonight. I HIGHLY recommend them! I've driven just about everything on the road from cars to big rigs for the past 20 years and this is the slickest mod I've come across. Even my wife called me this morning to tell me she loved them--which is incredible because she doesn't get excited about car stuff in the least.

I sent an email to the company asking why I wouldn't lose the full effect of my heated mirrors. If they can give me a satisfactory explaination I'll buy a set of these.... After drving the Garden State Pky this weekend I believe these are just what the doctor ordered! People on that road CHECK what little brains they have in the trunk! A bunch of lunatics changing lanes at 85 to 90 MPH with total disregard for anyone including themselves.... Would be nice to have a much wider field of vision!!

In the instruction paphlet it states that for those of us with heated mirrors- if we wish to retain their heat function to put a strip of black caulk/sealent around the rim of the mirror before afixing it to the primary mirror. This way the heat will transfer between the two, within the trapped airspace (about 1/16 of an inch).

Best mod yet for safety for me. I tried the stick on disks and though not bad, this takes it a galaxy step higher in the way of visibility.

Thanks for the kudos on the seats. I like them much better than the Sport fabric which was always getting dirty/full of lint. The mirrors do look factory. I wish they came this way from Toyota!

Thanks for gettin' back with the pics. My mirrors are on the way. Traffic visibility looks great. Also, they'll delay the need to turn the mirror out to combat the yahoo driving behind and one lane over with brights on. Offroad, I'll be able to see my rear tires and everything else. Great find!
