Full size CB mounting

Nope, its my dick. haha sorry had to lol.
yeah i love the place for the mag light. it dosnt get in the way but is super easy to grab when i need it for what ever. i have another smaller AA mag in the center console

no, the coax cable sticking out the back is too big. the lid wont close. even with the 90 deg bend. i already thought about that. this was the most functional, cleanest install i could come up with.

plus i put stuff in my center console

But lets keep thinking of somewhere else to put it. id love to hear!!
But is underneath the steering wheel to the right? Or right up against the dash like so:

Sorry for the crappy MS paint, but you get the idea. The first picture isnt a 3rd gen, but you know what i mean! haha

with it being up against the kick panel my knees would hit it. that was my problem. but thats just me, i would have loved to put it there if i wasnt so tall

Im trying to think of places. If you want to sacrifice your space, you could put it in the arm rest compartment, then wire it through the cupholder, gear selector, and then to the rear of the car. Or just go straight back and under the carpet if youre willing to get under the carpet

Driver side of the trans tunnel would be in my way, as would the driver kick panel (6' tall). I have been eyeballing the front of the sunroof frame, considering a creative clamping bracket. Still pondering if it would be a safety issue there for head injuries. The glove box is not deep enough. I considered the back side of the center console, in the passenger foot area. The radio was too wide to allow the front seats to slide forward/rearwards though.

How bout just getting rid of that huge technical gizmo for a smaller more to the point gizmo and put it where the ash tray goes.. I mean honestly how often are you gonna use the damn thing?! You don't need it to talk to people 2 states over or anything.

I have a peaked and tuned cobra 75, tried using that for a few weeks. The full size units work so much better at filtering noise and putting out a signal, it's hard to use a baby one once you get used to the real deal.

I have been sizing up my ashtray area, wondering if I could find room for the 29 by cutting out the area marked below. The question is depth really. I added a few aux power outlets in the passenger footwell, so i would not miss the cig lighter plug.

If it were a hair thinner, I could see mounting it here.

The biggest problem with the ashtray area is that it isn't much deeper than the ashtray with a tight fit of stuff behind it. At least, mine is chock-full of stuff just behind there...

No good for you, but for others: I've mounted mine pretty much like clund21, using a 'L' connector for the coax to fix the tight fit problem.

Looks like we have the same one.

On the passenger side works well. Enough room to still move the seat forward a little bit, and all the way back. If I find a different mounting spot for the mic, there will be a little bit more space. Not in the way. In a spot that the passenger sees it before getting in, so they don't kick it.

I really like this spot for it
