Full system install in 97 4R

I plan on replaing the entire audio system in my 97 4R SR5.

So far I purchased these components:

Alpine In-Dash CD Player (CDA-9827)
Alpine 6-1/2" Speakers (SPS171A) - components for the front.

Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ 12" Component Sub
Q-Logic QLH-1.7512SE Single 12" Hatch/Trunk Box-Vol=1.75 c

Kicker 04KX700.5 5 Channel Amplifier

That's about it for now.

All I'm missing is the rear speakers I think..

What is the size of the speakers that fit in the back?

Also, what do you guys think of this setup so far?

I have a 99 and I have 5 1/4 inch speakers. You can fit either 4" of 5 1/4, depending on how deep the speaker runs.

I have some CDT CL-5x speakers in the doors now. They are a slimline model, so they fit easily. I tried putting some Infinity reference 5 1/4's in there before and they wouldn't fit, so I was using 4" Infinity's for a while.

Your setup looks good so far. Post some pics once you get everything in.

yeah the rear is a 5.25" but like LBC99 said, you have to watch the depth.

I'm not going to be be doing the install myself since I'm not all that great with doing amp installs and ripping stuff up to run wires, but I'll post as many pics as I can...

If anyone from NJ knows how to do this and wants to help me out, then we can do a detailed system install and I'll greately appriciate it

one last thing... to install the rear speakers, does the entire door panel need to come off or do the grills in the doors pop out?

How are those CL-5X speakers working out for you? Do you know of any other speakers that would fit back there without too much hassle?

Yes you have to remove the entire door panel.

I just baught
Alpine KCA-420i Ipod Control Interface

now, the last thing.. the rears.. I still can't find which speakers would be a good fit for the rears. Any suggestions?
