Funny 4Runner Story

I was watching World Wildest Police Videos on TV yesterday and of course something 4Runner related happened. Four criminals escaped from jail and decided to hi-jack a 3rd gen black SR-5 as their escape car. The cops find the 4Runner and start chasing these criminals. Of course, they are not losing the police on the highway, so they decide to use the opening rear window to their advantage. A guy jumps in the trunk and the driver rolls down the rear window. He starts hailing objects at the cops from the back window while half of his body is hanging out. Yet another reason why to ride with your back window down. In the end, the cop shot the guys tires out and they had stop. I flinched when I saw the cop point the gun out his window and shoot in the direction of a 4Runner. They all were arrested. One was even laying comfortably in the truck.

Funny thing is that knew how to open rear window but didint know that 4runner could go offroad but the cops couldnt.

That is what I was saying when I was watching. You have a 4Runner and are trying to escape, why not use its 4WD capabilities. Dude, at least use the median!!!

on one of those episodes, a guy stealing a truck (bronco or sumtin i forgot) does take it on a dirt road where the cop got stuck. however, they still eventually caught him with a helicopter's assistance.
