Funny Salvage Yard Conversation..

So I see this new add on Craigslist locally for 1999-2002 4Runner parts. He has a a pic of a nice looking Silver Limited with wheels and all sitting there. So I call the guy to quiz him about what he has and how much. I don't really need much but you never know what you might find.

First off.. Headlights??.. He says what year do you have? (in a strong accent of some sort but after the 3rd try I finally can understand what he's asking me).. I say 1997, he says wont fit, they changed the body style in 1999. I say your wrong, they will fit but anyway do you have the headlights???. He says no, no, no, I'm wrong but says yes, they were new though in the box so he wants $105 each.. I'm thinking why new headlights in the box for a vehicle your junking but anyway.. I say aftermarket or OEM???.. He says aftermarket. I say those aren't as good as OEM, I'm looking for OEM.. He says how are they different? I say they are just not made as well and normally don't shine correctly.

In a strong deep Jamaican accent with a little bit of a laugh at me he says.. "No Mon, a headlights a headlight, no difference"...

All and all he sounded like a nice guy but turns out he had already crushed the 4runner and only had a few parts left that I wasn't interested in...

Ah Yes!! Toyota-4Runner.org.. All you gotta do is read, search, put your 2 cents in where needed and maybe every now and then ask.. And some of you guys are like the Rain Man of Toyota 4runner info.. Very Cool indeed!!...

For some reason i read this in a jamaican accent, is that weird?

I love schooling ppl on specs and facts on 3rd gens!

The information here is amazing and almost to the point of being ridiculous. I especially like the spectrum here though; you can go from which tire looks the best to the specific engineering and design process of said tire with enough technical babble to make you :barf:
