Funny Smell..

I have a 98, with 151k Miles. I bought it with about 148k. When I turn the truck off after a drive, there is a smell like burning rubber. I thought I noticed a clear smoke coming from underneath the drivers side of the hood.
I have recently
Changed the oil
Added quite a bit of brake fluid
replaced the battery (although smell was present before)

I am thinking I either have a problem, or it is just where I dripped brake/oil and its getting hot and smoking as it gets burnt off.

It could be the oil you spilled, look at your valve covers and see if there is some oil around the bolts, you could have bad gaskets. Mine was bad gaskets, it cause it to smoke.
