Future LTD Owner, Needs advice

They come in 2WD and 4WD.. In fact, in CA, it took me over 6 months to find a 4x4.. and every salesman and their mother was trying to deter me from buying a 4x4 (so they can make the sale).

OK I'm confused! I thought the Limited was full time 4 wheel drive? Is that ONLY for the 4WD models?

Yes, if you get 4wd, you get the full-time 4wd that most of us have. I know they make a 2wd limited, but I don't ever recall hearing anyone on here talk about having purchased one.

Scuba thanks for clearing things up for me, 4WD for me please. Now I just need to decide if I go brand new 2011 or go used 2010

After buying a new Tahoe in '99 and driving it until Nov '10, I had sworn to never buy new again. But when it came time to pull the trigger, I opted for new again. The price difference was manageable and the idea of picking exactly what I wanted helped me ensure that I'd be happy with my choice and willing to drive this vehicle for another 10+ years.

Like you discussed earlier, you ultimately have to do what your budget can support, but if the difference is close, I'd recommend getting exactly what you want and then drive it until the wheels fall off (25 years from now!).

Limited owner for 18 months now, and I have never--I mean never--been so happy with a vehicle. Love the X-REAS suspension and everything about this truck. Best vehicle I have ever purchased. Toyota got it right. Also love my TRD intake---a little sass with the class baby.

I upgraded from a 10 SR5 to an 11 Limited a few months back, and I'm very happy that I did so. I appreciate the features of the limited and the upgrades are worth it for me. As far as the JBL system, I do not believe you can find that in a 12 with Entune, so stick to the 10/11 for a JBL system. I found it to be a nice upgrade over the 8 speaker system. I have several stereo upgrades in the hopper as well.

Not True.

For 2012's, you can still get the Nav w/ 15 JBL speakers as an option. However, they seem to be hard to find. If you don't care about Entune, then I'd go for the 15 speakers because it makes a huge difference (I love that JBL subwoofer).

I've had my LE for a month now and love it! I had an 06 Limited V8 before so of course one of my only complaints is the lack of power. But now that I'm getting used to it its really not that bad. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't get the 3rd row seats, they really are useless, but I guess it might make a good selling point later on down the road.

Good luck with finding the one that you want. :thumb3:

Still looking and the only one I can find in the options I want is in Maine. I'm in Vegas...DOH!

Also when is the first major service on the 5th Gern 4 runners. 30,000 miles?
