G5 Rear Differential Leak

I noticed a small oil spot on the floor under the rear differential of my 2012 4Runner the other day. Thinking it to be odd, I took it to the dealership to have it checked out, and also to have some other routine work completed. They told me it was a "loose plug", to which I responded that it seemed odd to me. Anyway, of course the oil has continued to leak--very slowly--so today I spent some time underneath the car and realized to my amazement that there is a pinhole leak in the weld between the differential housing and the casting that holds the drain plug. After reading through a bunch of posts on this forum about older 4Runners, I guess this type of thing might be expected of a machine that spends a lot of time on salted roads, which mine does, but after 2 winters? Really Toyota? Not impressed! Has anyone else seen this type of problem with a G5 4Runner?

Following up on this. The local dealer replaced the entire differential housing, after I pointed out the leak. I'm glad it was still on warranty. Let's hope it is not a sign of things to come.
