Galactic Gray Thread!

Here's mine. Next up, TRD grille on the way and I'm going to tint the fogs, paint the silver bumper parts black, and plastidip all the emblems.

Hey y’all, been awhile since I’ve posted on here. Going on year 8 of owning my galactic gray T4R and still love it! Within the last 6 months I’ve gotten a coastal offroad front bumper with Diode Dynamics 20” LED bar and ss3 sae fogs. 4xInnovations Rola basket drop brackets with Gzila Designs awning mounts for the MaxiTrac 8’ awning. Eibach Pro Truck Lift Kit but replaced the springs with OME 885 up front and Icon 2” rear springs. Total Chaos Fab upper control arms. Yokohama Geolandar X-AT in 35x12.50r17. Got the BMC down and can clear the 35 with no problems whatsoever. Looking at a rear bumper setup soon but currently needing to go some maintenance like wheel bearings, CV boots and ball joints, fun stuff!

Looks so good. Love the headlight swap. I'm planning to do the same thing, but am trying to figure out what the best option is for getting a good paint match on the headlight filler trim piece. Just curious, have you figured that part out yet?

I got the Galactic Grey and clearcoat from R&E Paint Supply online. Only issue is the brand new paint is darker than the 20 year old paint surrounding it but we're the only ones who would notice I think.

I was thinking of redoing my entire hood. Have a ton of rock chips that are all the way down to the bare metal. I feel like it would stand out. Thoughts?

I think if the rest of your car is original paint then yea painting the hood only would make it look noticeably different.

I wonder if I'm better off trying to find some headlight filler trims from a 2006-2009 Galactic Gray 4Runner at a pick-n-pull. Something used with some paint fade might match my OEM paint job better.

paint on ours is hardly pristine, but I could barely tell the difference with new OEM ones.

I love those wheels! I must now find a set for myself, provided I don’t have to sell a kidney. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I moved those wheels over to my 5th gen instead of running the black Trd ones everyone has and it’s goes well with superwhite.

Got new FN FX Pros on today as well as new Wildpeaks. Bit of a rear squat because the old wheels and tires are in the cargo area
