Garage door problem after Homelink installation

Received and installed my new Homelink-equipped overhead console yesterday. Easy and quick as everyone mentioned here. Love it.

But, twice since I've installed it my garage door has raised on its own. Anyone else had this happen after programming their Homelink?

I guess mine is the rolling-code type, as I had to climb the ladder, push the "training" button on the opener and then go back to the car and press the Homelink button four times. Then it worked.

Just wondering what's going on and how I can fix it.

Thinking one of the neighbors may have been on the same frequency, somehow.

I erased all programming to both our cars and then reprogrammed each of them -- Honda and 4Runner, each with Homelink.

We'll see if this fixes it.

Garage door bouncing?

My garage door would come down and I would drive away. Neighbors said it would bounce back up. Just got out of adjustment a little on its own. Play with that a bit. Mine was also rolling code type(Craftsman).

Check the downward travel of your garage door. My opener says upto a 1/4" gap at the bottom is acceptable to allow for garage door expansion. Mine is adjusted to there is no gap, maybe 1/8" and the door has bounced open before.
