gas lid vibration/rear wiper

my subs are vibrating my gas lid! its really obnoxious any tips on how to stop the lid its self from vibrating? i havent layed down any dynamat because the interior panels arent causing any distortion in the bass but rather just vibrating. my cieling shakes a bit but doesnt cause much noise either.

just the gas lid is litterally farting each time it thumps.

also the rubber on the wiper is vibrating against the holder it sits on.. which is causing some noise as well.

any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

Uh, how about turning down your radio

haha, just messing man. You could try to install a rubber baffle on the inside of gas lid. this may lower the vibration on that part. The wiper though is going to be difficult. I have no suggestions for that.

Deadening the truck might help. If you add mass to the metal it will not vibrate as much.
I would guess with what you have going on it will take a ton of mat.

i put a thermol sock just like a sock you where but a big one and wrapped it around my gas cap and that put pressure on the door when i shut it, thus no rattle!

yeah i cut and taped some diff types of material and lined the inside of the lid.. but it didnt help much. i think im going to just have to buy some dynamat and see if i can dig my hands in there to stop the panel from shaking from the inside.

well i found a cheap/easy solution to the problem

heres some pics

i lined the edge of the lid with some sticky foam. you can see i added some to the inside of the gas lid also. i killed about 90%-95% of the noise/vibration.

i used this stuff.. found it at a craft shop u know.. total crafts. that kinda place. it was one dollar for a sheet so i got 4 of them and ended up only having to use about 10inches...

yeah im considering doing that also.

these quick fixes just lead you to noticing other vibrations.
its a vicious cycle. only fix would be to tear everything out and dynamat it properly. something i am not looking forward to.
