Gas Milage Data

Well after completing a trip from Seattle to Cleveland I found that my '96 3.4L 4Runner got an average of 19 MPG with the windows down sunroof open. With then shut/sunroof closed I got like 23 MPG. I am hauling at least 400 pounds of crap as well. I should also mention that during the time I was getting 19 MPG was also through the mountains however I think the biggest influence was the horsepower required to overcome the drag. Keeping my speed around 65 to 70 helped as well.

Looks like she's in good running condition. I can usually get about 20-22MPG with 80% highway. All highway, I net 22-23MPG. I also drive like a grandpa, too. :D
