Gas Mileage Display...Advice...

I've got an 05 sport V6 2wd that I purchased new and the gas mileage display would normally be around 410 to 415 miles on a full tank of gas. I've always used high octane gas, 91, and it would usually be around the 410/415 range until about 2-3 months ago. That's when it started to display 375 after filling up. This has been the case for each fill up since.

I just started to keep track as to how many miles I'm getting between fill ups.

Is the drop in mileage on the display something that could be an issue with a sensor or something?

375 is still good...
Check your air filter though make sure that it is still clean and looking good.
Also how many miles do you have on it??
Could need new plugs.

I get about 300 miles a tank. So 375 would be a blessing!

I'm due for an oil change so I'll have them check the filter...

I've got around 82k on it and had the plugs changed 2 years ago...

Its weird how it started all of a sudden recently...

So your computer gas mileage display states 300 everytime you fill up your tank or that's how many miles you get from a full tank?

Might be winter blend gas.

Sure but even during the last 5 winters, whenever it had a full tank it would display 410/415...

If you fill-up a couple of times in a row from 1/2 tank or more the 'range' will come down dramatically. If you run a few tanks to below 1/4 it'll come back up. That's assuming your MPG is relatively constant.

Once nozzle clicks its full. I used to get 400 mi/tank but that was mostly hwy driving. These days with only city drives I get 360 miles.

Interesting thought though I've filled up the tank several times during this period when the display says 50 miles remaining...Can't say how many consecutive times though and just starting to check my mpg...

I've always stopped when the nozzle clicks...I've tried topping off but it didn't make a difference...

Well for me I run mine till the orange low fuel light comes on. Then I go about 20 miles more and fill it up till it stops automatically. Then I add a few more cents just to round it off. I put on a fare amount of miles so this is about once every 7 or 8 days.

I have seen mine stay around the mid 300 for whatever reason when it usually is just over 400. When it does this I just filled up and reset everything. After that it was within 2 or 3 fill ups that it was back up to 400 plus.
