Gas pedal sensitivity?

Okay, this is a pretty basic automotive question.

My 06 4R has pretty good pickup.

The only thing that bothers me is that it seems the gas pedal is too "stiff". While cruising at 65 mph, for example, it takes a lot of pressure to keep the pedal at that point.

Now, by a lot of pressure I'm not talking something unreasonable or indicating it's broken. I just personally like a more "fluid" gas pedal.

So, is there any way to change the sensitivity or "stiffness" of the gas pedal?

I noticed that on long drives and depending on the type of shoes I have on, the ball of my feet will feel funny. Only suggestion I have is turn on cruise control and give your foot a break.
