Gas tank attachment point?

Is the gas tank attached to the body or the frame? Basically, I'm wondering if adding more lift in the back is going to increase gas tank clearance. I need a skid either way, but was curious about how ours are setup.

It attaches to the frame. Adding lift would increase it's clearance with the ground, whether it's attached to the frame or the body.

It attaches to the frame. Adding lift would increase it's clearance with the ground, whether it's attached to the frame or the body.

Derp. Your right not sure where I came up with the notion it wouldn't lift....just wish it didn't hang down so low under the frame.
