That's like telling a chick she's hot, except for her face... And body.

Matt, I love your whole rig.

no its like telling a chick she is hot, except her soul…or something like that

Ok guys, thanks for the support but the truth is this - I'm not hot. In fact I'm not even a chick. Not sure how this rumor got started
:toilet3: <-- this smilie should prove that I am a guy, as we all know women don't take poos.

Seriously though, thanks for the compliments guys!

edit- and rebelbowtie, I like to think my soul is beautiful

huh?

Where you looking to go? I love CO, but would be happy pretty much anywhere out west. Except maybe CA... Too much law & regulation.

Washington, Oregon, NorCal or Alaska

i want this to be my next billet but the wife doesnt really want to move to the land of Twilight

I found them at a local used tire place that didn't know what they had and traded my others for em.

A lot of people (including momo) have found them on craigslist. At one time about a year ago I found 3 sets within 2 hours for $350-450

Glad you like em

you lucky son of a gun hahaha. i can only find them on craigslist for 800+... absolutely ridiculous. but if i were sellin id ask the same hahaha

Today I got my LCA skids from the B.A.M.F. group buy on taco world. I painted them earlier and drilled out the front bolt hole as required on each side, it needed to be opened about 1/16" for the 3/8" bolts to fit.

Hopefully I will get a chance to pick up some stainless steel carriage bolts & nuts to replace the zinc ones the skids came with and bolt it up.

Sweet! I wonder what color you went with?lol I cant wait to pick mine up!

I knew! Its just the Kawasaki green sounded so convincing. You might have been going for a christmas look for the skids. I like em! Gonna put them on before you get the new bolts&nuts?

Haha I just said that because a couple of friends in high school had Kaw green undersides. One was a '93 toyota truck on 33" BFG MTs with kaw green skids & axles, the other was a '95 4-door s10 blazer on 33" boggers and he painted his frame and axles Kaw green to 'make it look like grave digger'

It might look good if I painted everything kaw green but I'm not going for the xmas look. I'm gonna try to pick up the bolts tomorrow at a hardware store and let the LCAs dry overnight. I just hope it's not raining tomorrow...

Got the SS bolts and mounted the skids this afternoon. I may have to trim them slightly if they scrub my other skid. I'll likely do it next week because I don't have a cutting blade for my grinder right now.

looks pretty good, although i dont think you have many rock gardens in Tuscaloosa large enough to damage your LCA's.

and honestly Kawi green would look kinda bad ass if it werent for all the cali bro's playing it out on there donked Cen-Cal trucks

You're right, there are none here although there are a lot of forest trails with sticks and roots popping up.

I don't off road a lot in t-town either way, most of the prepping I do for the 4R is for trips out west or other places where I get a chance to get out on trail that aren't mostly AL mud.

:hiding:
...and honestly this was kind of a bling mod for me... I saw the group buy, and I've thought about a set before, so I followed the impulse.

i am so done with Alabama mud, i broke too many tie rods (from going WOT in 4 LO) and burned up my TCC and ruined all my bushings on my 2500HD. (years of abuse in the Florida mud prob didnt help...)

my 4Runner will if i can help it never see mud, i am more into technical trails now.
