Put the Gobi ladder back on yesterday so that I could mount a Rigid Dually D2 for a backup lamp to replace my old KC 26s. I just used the Rigid Vertical Tube mount to mount it. I bought the Rigid from WCPDiesel.com, thanks a lot dnobes for pointing out that site and their "Make Us an Offer" deal.
I went with the Diffused despite advice against it from a member here. After reading several reviews and forum threads, I decided to go with the diffused because I can cut a piece of plexiglass and replace the lens if I want the Flood. On the other hand, I can't make a diffused lens if the Flood throws light too far behind me or too spread out.
Also, I may end up mounting it higher or lower depending on how the output looks.
Clearly night isn't here yet so I haven't had a chance to really test it.

Its night time now........lol....maybe u should just put a HID in there.....So does it light up well?

Yeah, I didn't get a chance to take a pic last night but yeah it's bright. I still wanna try the clear lens so when I find that piece of lexan I have I probably will.
I don't trust HID reverse lights, I haven't been able to find any literature saying it's okay to fire the bulbs and ballasts for only a few seconds or flash them (like when shifting from Park to Drive).
I need to get up with you and finish out my interior with your lights!

For realz...Dude i need to do my freakin grille its been so freakin hard to find one and at that at a good price. Then juggling the install for the blower on top of that. Ive even thought about just takin mine off and sending it to u, my grille. Thats all i need to set off the front of the truck. Its so bad azz.
I admire the stance on your 4Runner, but I'm going to try to replicate it on mine using FJ suspension all around (and maybe a top-plate spacer to level out the front -- I'm a V8 4x4). Don't really have the scratch to throw around on coilovers at the moment.
I like that it's not too much higher than stock, but still allows for a convenient ~32" tire size for a good compromise between on-road behavior and offroad use.
Any tips?

That should work, in some of my earlier pictures I have basically that same setup with the same size tires.
You'll also probably want to get spidertrax to get this stance and they induce a little bit of extra rubbing so you may have to remove or trim the front mud flaps, push the liner forward, and maybe trim a tiny bit of the inner fender flare.
I think on page 7 or maybe 9, there is a picture of mine on 265s with about the same lift that shows what trimming I did to eliminate all the rubbing.

Got bored with the wheels again and plastidipped them.
This is 4 coats of flat black plastidip with 4 coats of silver flake plastidip metalizer. I think I like it. It's really hard to get the color in pictures. It's not as strong as paint but if it chips I'll redo it with real paint or powder. Just thought I'd go this route in case I don't like it after a bit.

The wheels do kind of look blue in the pics I guess. It must be the speckles reflecting the sky in the pictures. I don't think they really look blue in person.
