gaterose build thread

Got some use out of the rack this morning.

Apparently I've been giving too much TLC to the 4R and not enough to the house... I fell through the bathroom floor the other day... A leak had rotted some wood under it so I stole a few 2x4s & 2x6s from my brother to brace it better. He just got some big oaks cut up so I got lucky, good stuff for free.

edit- for anyone that noticed that's Snow Digital Camo on the rack fairing, I've had it up there for a few weeks. Not sure I like it.

I mean, the whole vinyl idea is cool, but I'm not too fond of that particular color either :/. maybe get a new design?

I haven't been able to figure anything out for it.

I thought about covering it in stickers similar to adio3x or countless others. But I don't love the look of a bunch of mixed colors up there.

I thought the snow camo would look best of the things I've seen. I may just do it matte black or carbon fiber or something later on. I'm still trying to let this grow on me for now

have any closer up pics of it? I kinda like it.

If you're looking for something a little different, could consider something with red and black in it, red looks great on yours and would match the hi-lift.

Carbon fibre is always a good look too, good idea there.

I'll try to get one soon. I like the red accents, I think a huge red rectangle up there would be overboard.

Are the TrailWorthFab bars made by hanma? They look similar. How is the whole setup working out? Looks like plenty of output.:lasercannon:

I'm fairly sure they are. The one on the front bumper came from TWF, I ordered the rest direct from Hanma for nearly half what TWF is charging.

They put out a ton of light, I've only really gotten a few opportunities to use them.

I really mostly changed the ones on the roof because the deal was too good to pass up and I thought it'd be cleaner since the old lights were taller than the top bar on the Gobi. The wood I hauled yesterday probably would've crushed the old middle two lights.
