Excuse my ignorance. When it comes to setting up a web page and getting everything to work, I am a dumba$$. I was wondering what all would be involved with having two addresses to bring people to this web page? I was messing around with a sticker idea, but I think a lot of people like the shorter, almost abreviated stickers, so they aren't so horsey. (that is just my opinion) Anyway, I was messing around with T4R.ORG as the main part of the sticker, and then i smaller type under it having TOYOTA-4RUNNER.ORG. My thinking behind that is that if the person that buys a sticker just wants the top part, somebody that spots it on the road could try that address and still make it here. If they choose to put the entire piece on, it will have the actually address. It just makes more or a logo mark, if that makes sense.

I am in no way trying to tell you guys how to do things on this page....at all. Ya'll have done an excellent job with this page, so don't take any of that the wrong way. I was just sitting around in the hospital with my mother and my marketing side took over a little bit. If it is a pain to do any f that, it is no problem. I just wanted to throw it out there. If you ever want any help with any stuff just let me know.

Thanks guys! It is an awesome sight!:thumb:

How long has your site been around?

I am one of the admins of a Yamaha FZ-1 site. We moved to vbulletin a while back. About a year ago I'd say.

We have over 2800 members and 184,000 posts since then. We are completely funded by the members (pretty strict about advertising).

It's amazing how these things can grow!

We have been around for a bit more than a year...about 14 months.

So far, this site is being paid for by Gatorgreg.

Momo, that's a great idea. In the next couple of days www.T4R.org should start pointing to this site :) This also solves another problem I was having, which was getting a decent looking sticker with the url on it. My sticker guy kept sending me new sizes, type, etc, but it never llooked quite right. Now with the shorter domain name I think this will solve the problem of getting a sticker that is not too long, but still readable from a distance.

Interestingly enough some domain name selling company had already reserved www.T4R.com :D Thanks again Momo!

Just a suggestion that maybe someone has already made and I missed it, What about having an online store section to help fund the site?? Also maybe extend the site to maybe Tacos, GX470s etc. to help draw in more people. I think the people on this site are knowledgeable and can aide many people with different kinds of Toyotas and Lexuses...

I am against expanding this forum to cover other Toyota trucks. Yotatech & 4x4wire.com both do this...and i think that it gets a bit disorganized. I don't want this forum to overextend it's limits. You would have subforums within subforums, etc....it would be hell to navigate.

I agree with that. I like it just being us 4Runner guys. I will post up some sticker ideas this afternoon. I am trying to meet a dealine right now, but just checked my e-mail and saw this post.

Again, this is a great site and appreciate everything you have put into it.

T4R.com sounds cool! That would make a great sticker!

I agree with Thai about expansion except the GX because it is almost identical mechanically. There can be some valuable cross-info with GX owners.

Get the T4R stickers out, I want one!!

Here is one I had initially done. i am going to mess around with it some more tonight.

::EDIT::
I agree the GX guys should be allowed in, but I am not sure that should be an advertised section. The GX crowd probably aren't going to be that much into mods. I like it being a pretty exclusive club. When I was into Maxima's the page we had, maxima.org, was set up as a Maxima page, but the Infiniti I30 guys would join in. There weren't that many, so we just left it as a Maxima group......does that even make sense?

Momo is right. I have no problem with GX owners coming to this site. In fact, i sometimes post over at CLUBLEXUS.COM. I have this site's address in my signature on that site.

Here are some more options I was thinking about. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hey guys, www.T4R.org now points to this site, so you can now use it as a short cut (for those of you who are too lazy to bookmark :p )

I agree with Thai, the original mission of this site was to focus on the 4Runner - so we have no plans to expand the format.

Momo, I'm gonna hopefully meet with my sticker guy around lunch time today. To keep it simple (and the cost down) I'd like to drop the Toyota-4runner.org part at the bottom and just go with T4R.ORG in 1" high letters. Also, I don't think the shadowed one like number 5 would work but I will show him the font you used in number 1 and 2, 3, 4 (I assume 2, 3, and 4 are all the same except for the italics in number 2). If you know what the names of the fonts are that you used please let me know. If my sticker guy doesn't have them on his machine than I'll just choose something comparable that looks good. Thanks!

#1 is Eurostyle Extended Bold and it was stretched horizontally. The others are fonts, they were drawn. Ask your sticker guy what file formats he can accept for cutting the stickers. I can make them any format he might need and e-mail them to you to take to hime. Also, ask him if they need to be to the correct scale or if he can scale them (this way you two could play around with the size) If he can accept an illustrator eps or that would be the best format for scaling. Just let me know.

If you do like the #5 with the shadow, his plotter should be able to cut that.
