Gauges fuse

1993 T4R V6 Manual.

Gauges fuse keeps blowing. I lost my blower motor, power windows, moonroof, and obvisouly, my gauges. Took a look at my trucks wiring diagram, and there are so many possibilites its rediculous. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue and resolved it.

I think its my Door curtosy switch on the drivers side, because when I wiggle it around, the fuse is ok, until I close the door again. Any thought would be appreciated.

Same thing happened to me and it was a PITA to fix. I ended to removing the entire dash board to trace the wires coming from the gauges fuse. Found a black w/ red stripe wire that was a power lead to something grounded out. I cut the wire and replaced the fuse. Gauges and blower motor were alive again! After reinstalling the dashboard I found that my speedometer no longer worked! I finally finished the repair last weekend. The root cause for this was the wiring harness for the transmission, transfer case, oxygen sensor. I disconnected all the connectors on the harness and pulled the entire harness up through the engine compartment. I have headers on my '92, and they caused the wiring harness to melt and several wires were broken / grounding out. After repairing the harness, I had to pull my dashboard again to reconnect the wire I cut (power for the VSS). All is working again. I hope this helps you find where your problem lies. I know I would have loved this advice before the diagnosis began. Good Luck
