G'day from a German in Australia

Hey fellow T4R drivers!

My 1986 1st Gen 4Runner and me met 4 weeks ago in Sydney where it was love at first sight. So I decided to acquire the good old boy for a reasonable sum, keeping in mind that I would need to work on several projects to improve its performance.

In 6 weeks, mid of september, I am heading off from Melbourne for a roadtrip throughout Australia and hope to have finished my projects by then. The forum already helped me a lot and I am hoping to get some good ideas and assistance for my future projects as well.


High Priority Projects
Investigate reason for gear shifting problem (see other post :help
Trace down minor engine oil leak
Check horn functionality (already bookmarked several forum threads :thumb: )

Other Projects
Install air con belt (and replace other belts at the same time)
Install 2nd battery (electrical gear already bought)
Repair plug of UHF-Mic
Find possiblity to lower spare tire under car
Check BES Timer LED
Prepare curtains and install hook and loop tape

Completed Projects
Installed additional headlights
Improved interior lighting (RGB LED Strip :hippie: )
