Gen 2 Transmission swap?

Im asking this question because im kinda curious to know how much it would cost....

in your guys opinion, how much on average do you think it would cost to swap out the automatic transmission in a 2nd gen 4Runner for a manual transmission?

variables:
-taking it to a shop to get done
-locating and purchasing manual transmission and components for swap.
-its a 3.0 V6 4x4
-and whatever else im not thinking of that im sure you guys would.

Is this a nightmare of a job? is it not worth it?
considering you could sell the automatic transmission and stuff afterwards.

anyways, thanks for replying

You'll need a R150F trans and VF1A t-case (auto's case won't work), pedal assy, clutch MC, SC, hardline and hose, clutch set and flywheel, maybe some other stuff.

Best bet would be to locate a junk truck as a donor.

Otherwise, $200-400 for trans/case, pedal assy $10-20 - used, find online in 4Sale sections of Toy BBS's like this.

New clutch set $75-100, master/slave cylinders and lines new - $100-150, flywheel new - $50-75

Plus misc costs.

If a shop does it, double the prices and add in 15-20 hrs of labor at whatever the rate is in your area.
