I have a issue with my 96 , Limited, 3.4 auto 4x4. It will start but dies as soon as it starts. I have studied the other threads on this but have not seen an answer. fairly new to the forum so I might have missed what I am looking for. I did this one time before and then it started running fine. Now it is doing it again. I did have the EFI relay checked out and it seems to be okay but I am not sure what sends a signal to that relay or if the fuel pump might be the issue. I have not had this 4R very long so I am new to the details of it.
It almost seems like there might be a electrical issue or maybe a sensor that is shutting it down as soon as it gets fired off. When it was running is was getting great gas mileage ( about 18.5) and had no symptoms of any problems, but I have never seen a bad fuel pump come and go.
