Gen 3 suggestions

My 1995 is rusting to death, looking for a Gen 3. I need help deciding on a year that is best for off-road driving. Should I be worried about an Automatic Transmission? I welcome any suggestions. Thank you.

Take a vacation to the southern states and buy your next 3rd gen there. It will be rust free then anything you will find locally. There is Bike week in Myrtle Beach this week. Good excuse to take a trip.

Scour craig's list in different cities, fly down - take a train and drive back.

Yup, I've got one of those to deal with on my '98, I have yet to see a working factory elocker up here, all the actuators are wrecked.
