Gen iii REAR Long Travel setup

Finally the racing season has taken a break so I could get the rear suspension finished...... errr (still need a coil that will take the travel and provide lift) I'm left with 13" of strapped travel.

> Twisted Customs (see Dec Dirtsport MIM) made the upper/lower control arms and panhard bar. They utilized heims with their special spacers on axle end, and bushings on the frame end to free up all the bind. I know there are beefier looking arms out there but these are the same as their competition rigs.
> Sway-A-Away supplied 2x10 emulsion shocks with high capacity remote reservoirs to keep things cool. Brian Bell, of SAW valved them to perfection.
> Light Racing's 6" Jounce controls the uptravel.
>Spidertrax provided the wheel spacers to keep things from rubbing and allows the rear to track inline with the wider front.

im glad you posted this, because im getting the spidertrax soon, and its nice to be able to see what they look like once installed...not that its hard to do or anything...

Eddie and Thomas, from Spidertrax, are GREAT guys and very smart at what they are doing. There are a lot of companies out there that make spacers. I recommend these guys for their genuine kindness alone. Their products speak for themselves. Please let them know the Chaplain showed you.

I think you'll find 1.5 to be to thick. Mine are 1.25 and I'm wishing they were 1". Originally I was designing the rear to use a coilover and needed the space.

They aren't that much new. What lift are you going with?

for now, im gonna get a cornfed 2.5/2" lift, and when I can afford it, I may go with an OME system...the 1.5" may be too thick for me, but I'm getting a REALLY good deal, so I can resell them if I don't like them

STOP, don't look any closer if that's the only wang you saw. Lets see, o ya got that one side-hilling across the face of a mountain in the mud, a tree didn't get out of the way. Funny how a shopping cart ding can ruin my week but some rock-rash and I'm all smiles.
Ya, I'm all about letters in too, but sometimes you got to say thanks to those who help you out.

I had 2 dents on mine before I sold it...one was from somebody opening their door in a parking lot and me not knowing about it. the other was from a hail nugget hitting me while I was 4wheelin in the snow and mud. guess which one I was more mad about.

I like the sponsors on the side...I did my 1981 CJ7 the same way.

Do you think you can give a little more info on your rear suspension. Such as how long your pandard bar is and your 4 links. I'm trying to build a setup for my runner but I could not find anything for rear until I found your post. Thanks. Any info could help.
