Geolanders in snow?

Hey everyone, my 2010 Limited 4x4 came with Yokohama Geolander G96B tires. We are planning a couple of trips to CO this winter and I was hoping to get some feedback on how these tires handle snowy road conditions. I searched but couldn't find much info on these tires. Any experiences or advice would be much appreciated!

I had the stock Dueler HT on my '05 and they performed fine for what I needed them to do. As long as these Yokos are on par with those I'm happy. I just mainly want to make sure these tires aren't dogs in the snow. I'd hate to get halfway up the mountain only to discover my truck is on skates!

I have the same tires on my 2010 Limited and they worked much better than I thought they would on trips to Mammoth with various amounts of snow and ice. My Limited seemed more surefooted than my previous QuadraDrive Jeep Commander with BF Goodrich A/T's. Other members here have had the same experience with these tires. Yeah, it surprised me too!

Of course, always have chains just in case!

agreed. i have the yokos on mine, and they performed admirably during multiple trips to tahoe last winter. still planning on getting new (wider) rims and tires, but not because of any deficiencies in winter performance.

I have the dunflop all terrain on my 4r. I was a little concerned about winter conditions, but driving up loveland pass this past weekend with packed snow and ice i have decided to not buy winter tires for now. if the geos are AT tires you shouldnt have much to worry about assuming that you know how to drive in winter conditions (Austin,Tx probably not lol).

Geolanders are great! At least the ones I had on my 3rd gen.
