George Washington National Forest, VA

Anyone familiar with the GWNF trails? Heading out there for the second time the weekend of the 30th April, but I'm looking if A. Anyone has some recommendations on trails worth hitting and B. If anyone is thinking about making a trip next weekend and wants to link up. I'm running the trails in a 4th Gen. virtually a stockie rig. So if anyone is familiar and/or is heading out that way let me know. Thanks!

Peters mill run, test dry river run (if the conditions are right run that), kephart run, flagpole knob. just going to explore and see what i can find. I'm open to recommendations.

I wouldn't say I have experience because I have only been once but we have had our FJ Bruiser Annual Mudfling there and will be again this year (don't need an FJ to participate, we've had several T4Rs). Flagpole Knob is one of my favorites and Dictum Ridge is another good one! Kephart run is good but several years back they blocked the trail off towards the top it used to go much further than it does now, and last time I was up there they closed off dry river run... With my work schedule its hard for me to get up there anymore but I am planning a trip in June when it gets warmer!

I know this is an old thread but hopefully you're still occasionaly on the boards. We have some guys in VA/MD that went to Peter's Mill Run recently and are looking to go on another run before too long. Check out the thread below and hopefully we'll see you on the trails soon!
