Germ management: Disinfecting the interior

I keep some basic sanitizing wipes… but I generally never do it on my own car.

You guys ever travel for work having to take an Uber in the middle of flu season in the mid-west? Fuuu kin gross lol.

Im a germ a fobe also. I use clorox wipes. Hey, you gas up, touch that nasty filler, then contaminate the interior. Dont be a hater

Same here. I use the wipes at stores to do the cart handle too. My logic is that if it saves me one cold or flu infection a year, it's well worth it.

I keep the Walmart brand of Wet Ones-type wipes in the door panel bottle holder. The round plastic container is a perfect fit. Those wipes are handy for disinfecting interior surfaces and for wiping our hands before eating in the car.

What do y'all use to disinfect the steering wheel, door handles, etc? I don't want to ruin the interior with strong agents.

I was thinking of driving through a touchless carwash with all 5 windows down, but it would miss some hard to reach spots...sooo back to the drawing board.

If you flail around in a full bunny costume during you original plan, i think you will be golden!

I'm not a germaphobe but my wife doesn't like the thought of bringing traces of the hospital with her so I clean everything with Spray-Nine. Then I follow with either Chemical Guys or Griots interior cleaner for the dash and plastics and leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats. It might be extreme but so far I haven't had any issues.

Inbetween cleans, like everyone else, I've used Clorox wipes, isopropyl alcohol and baby wipes. The latter being the most frequent item I use thanks to the little mess monster I have riding in the car. I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer, Spray-Nine, Clorox wipes and isopropyl in the car for emergencies. Perhaps its overkill on my part.

So, supposedly ozone can damage rubber wiring insulation and leather. Likely that concern is more realistic for large industrial units than small consumer models, but be warned.

Me? I use ozone sparingly but occasionally in the car. More for smell mitigation than cleaning. Been very handy during COVID to have an ozone generator.

Hey, thanks! Just needed it.. or something similar... or at least anything that would help me get rid of the smell and dirt from inside of my car, after I lended it to my brother for 3 days it has a weird smell that doesn't air out ... My friend actually suggested me this Damage Control 911 ozone generator that will take away the smell for sure but I'm still thinking about it.. Anyway, the video you posted may help me too. I'm desperate! Any kind of ways that would help I'm ready to try!
