Getting 23 ORP, question on wheels, vinyl wrap, PPF

Hi all
Excited to join, have a 2023 off road premium coming in next few weeks!

I am definitely going to change the wheels and tires to start with and was wondering how to best handle this. I don’t like the stock ORP wheels and want Trd pro wheels. I doubt the dealer will just give me a credit for wheels and tires ORP comes in and sells Trd pro wheels.

In that case does it make sense to just order these elsewhere (online, have it shipped, buy tired and then swap)? I doubt there is market for stock orp wheels but maybe I can try to sell those on fb marketplace.

Any ideas?

Additionally would love to get some recommendation on Boston area shops that deal with ppf and vinyl wraps. Definitely getting front and rear valance vinyl wrapped, and thinking of partial ppf.

I wouldn't waste time trying to negotiate new tires/rims with the dealer. they will make you pay for new ones and give you next to nothing (if they even take them) for the stock ones. sell them online, someone will probably buy them, just don't expect retail for them even if they are unused

as for PPF I would strongly recommend the good stuff. I think it's 3m/vivvid. get the hood or bottom part of the hood, bottoms of doors, side mirrors done. have it done professionally. my PPF is 11 years old and looks like it was installed yesterday

Thanks. Yeah heard back from them that they’ll pay me $300 for just the rims.
I was also surprised they said tires from orp can be moved over to trd pro wheels (I think they r slightly different in size).
I will just sell these off on marketplace.

23 ORP wheels

ORP stands for "Off Road Premium" and since my 22 came with TRD wheels I assumed all ORP vehicles did. Mine came with the black wheels with TRD stamped on them and has Nitto Terra Grappler tires.

I love the look I can’t deny it [emoji3]
Fn fx also cost as much as trd pro wheels so it’s not like I will be saving any $$.

But you would have wheels that would accommodate wider tires and wouldn’t look like every other runner on the road.

Yeah some sr5ps also came with trd pro wheels but usually they ship with regular wheels. I wish I had them from factory/port install but the vehicle sheet shows it comes with regular orp 17”.

Not long ago, the official Toyota parts web site was running a special on the TRD wheels, but I looks like they are back to the regular price: Toyota 4Runner 17 trd cast aluminum wheel - gloss gunmetal gray - PTR2035110G4 - Genuine Toyota Accessory
