Ok So I think I am done looking around and I think I am set on LCE for a motor. My thoughts were I was not saving much trying to do a motor myself. At least not enough and I would not worry as much about evey little knock.

I would like to hear from someone who has one. I wonder do they really have that much more HP than stock. They claim 150hp but I am wondering if the 150 is if i buy every add on they offer?

I also need to make a list of what I need to complete the install does anyone have a parts list of what I need ?

Any advice as far as doing a motor swap. I am going to get a book but not having done a motor swap in a 4runner before odds are there are going to be a few things that I will miss or need to figure out? I am trying to do the research upfront.

My plan is to order the motor after xmas. I read a couple posts about doing a v8 swap over the LCE due to the cost. So before i pull the trigger my pro's and cons on LCE over the v8. I think the v8 would be a lot more work and i dont know that i really need all that. If the LCE is really 150hp i think that should work. i would not need to regear with the 33's.

anyone have advice i could use it .. I am making a check list of what I need and what I need to do. I have never done motor swap like this before so I am trying to cover everything so I am not waiting for parts to come in.

Any mods i should do while i have the motor out?

i was going to do the flywheel clutch and header injectors at the time of swap. add gauges ( what are prefered gauges). Just noticed a small break fluid leak so i was going to upgrade using the marlin break kit.
