Yeah, it sets pretty tall all the way around. I am, however, going to install a set of 3/4" UHMW blocks in the front - and then taper them down to nothing as I get towards the rear of the truck. The tapered B/L will give me enough clearance to drop in some 305-70-16's and set almost level again. I did a tapered B/L lift on my '71 Bronco and it worked out super well! And I've already performed the front body-mount chop, so I currently have no rubbing issues fully stuffed at any wheel. BUT, I really need some new UCAs before heading into the larger tires - that mod will definitely come before the 305's.

Same to you, man! I absolutely love your truck and the rims; I just couldn't afford those rims when I bought my lift(s)/rims/tires set-up last month... I just got this particular 4Runner at the end of August. And the silver over black is a super sweet color combination, as you know - then I added some green & yellow TRD decals to spice it up a little.

Here's a shot before I added the rear spacers (with the exact same lift up front). Too much rear squat for my liking...

Thanks man. That's a good idea, I was actually wondering about a tapered BL earlier today, funny you mentioned it. I want more rear lift, but not quite as much rake as you're running. I'm thinking I may ditch my fj/1.5 spacers and go fj/2.5 spacers for like 2.75" in the rear. My FJ's didn't give me much lift at all. I got a full inch above my daystar front setup when i switched to the TT setup with eibach coils and 5100s. I have to take fender measurements.

Also, the TRD wheels I got for a steal on ebay. From the stealer they were like 350 each... :eek:

Yep, the tapered B/L was a trick I learned from a guy that helped me restore my 71 Bronco about 10 years ago. I was running F/R 4" Rancho but it ended up raked something awful, so this guy tapered some 3" blocks down to 1" and we tossed them on. I got almost 6" front and 6" rear and I was able to go from a 33" to a 36" over-night, with some fender trimming on the ole' fiberglass body.

The lift you mentioned should give you a nice and aggressive stance, only without the dredded rake that most of us dislike. I figured 3/4" in the front will give me some much needed lift and not have to mess with too much of anything else, other than maybe the fan shroud mod and a few other little odds and ends.

I'm looking forward to hooking up with a few of you guys that weekend! I've been on these boards for like 6 or 7 years, but I haven't spent too much time posting and socializing with the crowd.

Hey guys, definitely count me in for the trip!

I think my neighbor and brother-in-law are coming along, too. The neighbor is running a 2013 Tundra Rock Warrior with a 3/1 leveling kit and some 35" goodyear duratracs and the brother is in a stock 2005 Xterra with some 265-70 mud terrains. I know it's not a Toyota, but he has some big b@lls and he'll push that little Xterra to the limit.

I hope you don't mind the tag-alongs... I'm really trying to get a bunch of PA guys into the NJ scene! My goal is to get around 10 or so trucks to make the voyage a few times a year. And after watching some of the previous videos, I am super stoked to hit these trails!

I may have missed it, but what time is everyone meeting?

I'd like to join but my wife has a crossfit competition in the am and I will be home with the kids.

Hopefully I can make it over for some fun. I'm just outside of Philly in Ardmore.

I would but the wife goes nuts when I put all three in the back of the 4R, due to the lap belt. Mine are 7,5,5.

I know they would all have a blast too...when not screaming and pinching each other!

Hey guys, is this a strictly Yota trip? I'm down to join as long as it doesn't snow that day, cause I snow plow, but my bro-in-law wants to join in a jk wrangler.

I will be trying to leave from around Springfield Delco area around 9am. I will be bringing my kids 9 and 7. possibly my wife is she is up for it.

More than happy to figure out a good place for a caravan.

Correct, the middle is a lap belt. I've had all three in before and felt my son was safe but the wife doesn't.

I wish there was a way to add a shoulder belt...maybe I'll look into the little seat in the back!

How's the weather down there, guys? Are we gonna have some snow to deal with this weekend or just a ton of mud?
