Getting Factory XM installed tomorrow

It was goint to cost 200 for the install I bitched about it telling them I could'nt roll it into the purchase of the car since they did'nt have the kit even out yet, but still had the option on the radio for it......got it knocked down to 100. I was ok with that.
Don't really like the sound quality of it , its very clear but need more punch from the stereo.
I noticed when I installed my tahoe Xm it had a co-ax size antenna cable where this kit had basically a wire , but the Tahoe had about a million times better tune systen than the 4R.

I finished my XM install last night. Certainly a ripoff for anything more than $100. It looks difficult, but really only takes about 1 hr if the installer has done one before.
As far as sound quality goes, I'm satisfied, but the volume isn't great. Toyota/Lexus should have worked harder to get the volume to better match that of AM/FM/CD as I always find myself turning the XM volume way up then back down when I switch to the other inputs. I have the same problem in my IS350, so it's not just the T4R.
I left everything apart since I'll be installing the Parrot Kit tonight. Found the mute wire on the JBL 10 speaker Synthesis with no problem (F7 Red/White wire). Will tap into the center speaker for the voice from the Parrot so it will all sound factory. Eight wires to connect, mount the Parrot somewhere and I'm done.

I found the same thing with it being quiet. I would love to add a small amp to my system , but not sure if its possible.
Also another thing I noticed when my vehicle was in the shop they gave me a Scion XB to use , so I got to try the Scion radio, that sound system I also thinked sucked. Really did'nt notice much if any improvement over my stock prem. 6 disk.

Just bought my 4Runner and had the dealer install the XM. I looked at how they installed the antenna and I'm not sure it is correct.
The antenna is mounted cock-eyed in the center rear about six inches from the back edge with the wire running down (one piece of tape on the roof) and to the right... above the weather stripping and into the right taillight.
I would have thought that the antenna would have been closer to the edge (isn't there a template) and the wire routed where it is not seen.
Any information from anyone with installation instructions is very much appreciated. Thanks!!!

There is a cardboard template included in the fit kit. This places the antenna a few inches forward of the rear lip of the roof, it is supposed to be squared up to the rear edge of the roof. The instructions call out taping the wire down inside the area where the top edge of the back door pivots into. Then running the wire along the inside of the door opening and behind the tail light, where there is a rubber gromet that is removed and replaced with one on the antenna wire. The fit kit includes several pieces of tape and some snap channels for the wire. The instructions show exactly where to place these so the wire does not get pinched or rubbed.
